On November 11th, Jeb Bush told a story in which he claimed that Obama refused to host a dinner with any Republican Senators for five years until 2013. This, he said, was proof that Obama was unwilling to work with Republicans. His claims have since been proven repeatedly incorrect as it seems Obama has held dinners many and other such functions in which both republicans and democrats were invited.

That's unfortunate for Bush. Maybe he meant hosting a dinner with just Republican congressmen? Probably not. Either way, I'm glad Jeb Bush cares about politicians working together, but he might need a new fact checker. I know he's behind in the polls, but with all the controversies regarding Ben Carson and Donald Trump, don't count Jeb Bush out of the race for a potential Republican nominee.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why Bush would make commentary such as this with no proof. Its not like hes competing against Obama. Jeb needs get his head in the game because he is behind in the Polls.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an instance of the pot calling the kettle black. The House Republicans have been so openly adamant against working cooperatively with the Democrats. While Obama has plenty of things to be criticized about, it makes no sense to blame him on this.
ReplyDeleteThis was a bad call for Bush because obviously he was incorrect. This would be a very bad decision for Obama to make and I don't think that he would intentionally not meet with republicans just because he is a Democrat.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, how embarrassing. I feel bad for Bush, he will definitely need some new fact checkers. Although, I honestly wish that the two parties could find a way to work together. Pointing fingers will get us nowhere.
