"I know that I got to Get Better"
Jeb Bush was thrashed in his debate against Senator Rubio, but has only responded by saying that he recognizes debates as one of his weak points and he'll strive to improve from here.
At least we see that Jeb Bush is real. He is willing to admit up to his failure and weakness at this point; and willing to let people know that he can improve what he wants even though he is falling in this presidential campaign.
Meanwhile I do think that it can be a good quality of a candidate to admit that they are not perfect, Jeb Bush shouldn't have put this fact out there so blandly. Public speaking is a very important part of politics, and especially of being a president.
I think Bush is going to continue to suffer drastically in the polls because of his weak debating abilities. Unfortunately, so much for candidates hinges on their debate performance skills. I personally don't think it's important, but American voters as a whole think so.
Jeb Bush will have to drastically alter his campaign if he still wants to win the GOP nomination. Carson and Trump have the momentum, and the gap between second place and the next Republican candidate (Marco Rubio) is nearly 11 points, according to Real Clear Politics' national average poll. With this trend, Jeb Bush is currently on a path towards failure in the primary. This being said, there's still over 7 months until the RNC officially chooses their candidate at the Republican convention. Given this amount of time, Bush can still turn around his campaign and work towards moving up in the Republican polls.
Jen Bush has enough time to improve as a debater. As long as he improves in that field and continues to only set his image as a strong competent politician he will be able to gain votes. In my opinion, if he does not commit to this he won't have a chance to run along the other candidates.
It is not very often that a candidate would admit one of their own weaknesses. It makes me glad that Jeb Bush can be honest about it. Honesty is something I would like to see more of in politicians, and I am rather saddened that it doesn't seem to be something that occurs often. Nevertheless, he does have time to improve, but if he continues saying things in a blunt fashion his chances will, no doubt, continue to dwindle.

ReplyDeleteI got to admit, I like how he admits he is bad at something and is trying to improve.

ReplyDeleteYeah I agree at least he's being an honest candidate but at the same time he shouldn't let every one know his faults.

ReplyDeleteIf Bush does work on his debate skills and improves, that might show he's good at adapting and might help him reach high places.
